Instrument Locking System

Modified on Thu, 25 Sep at 3:23 PM

If when trying to edit an instrument in ProCal-Track this window pops up.

It means that that the instrument is currently being calibrated or it is currently being edited. However it might be locked in error in cases of a crash of the software, or the software being closed/force closed before the system can automatically unlock it.

These are the scenarios in which an instrument is considered "locked":

  • It is open in ProCal for calibration and testing. The lock will be released when the procedure is exited
    • If ProCal is closed before the test procedure is exited, the lock may remain in place
  • Is it open for editing in ProCal-Track
    • If ProCal-Track is closed before exiting/saving the edit screen, the lock may remain in place

If that happens you can manually unlock the instrument by opening the "Check Instrument Locks" table in ProSet.

Select the Instrument in question and click "Unlock".

The instrument will be unlocked and ready for use.
