Transmille software can be easily moved from one PC to another by simply backing up the entire folders to a removeable storage device
(eg. USB or External Hard Drive) or a network drive.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NETWORKED VERSIONS :
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Before proceeding with the data transfer it is recommended that both ProCal and ProCal-Track are set to point to data on the local C DRIVE before copying.
This is because the NEW PC may have a different drive letter for the mapped drive (if a mapped drive is being used) and if the new PC does not have this configured the software will not be able to locate the data on the server.
This should not be an issue if you have used UNC paths (eg. \\server\Public\c\ProCal\Certificates)

STEP 1
Backup the ENTIRE ProCal and ProCal-Track folders (as appropriate) from your local C DRIVE to the backup location.
STEP 2
On the NEW PC run the default installation of ProCal and ProCal-Track from the provided CD or digital downloads -
this will add all the system and support files as well as default data to the new PC.
STEP 3
OVERWRITE the default ProCal and ProCal-Track folders on the NEW PC with the backed up folders copied from your OLD PC -
this will include all configuration settings.
Note
During the process of overwriting the DEFAULT folders with the BACKUP folders Windows will display a message before it overwrites a file - in this case simply select COPY AND REPLACE, as you want to overwrite a DEFAULT file with your ACTUAL DATA from your OLD PC
Once this process is complete all data will now have been transferred.
STEP 4
To complete the process (if the software needs to point to a server location), set the new data paths as follows :
ProCal
Run ProSet File > System Settings and set the new path locations for the data.
ProCal-Track
Run ProCal-Track Utilities > Advanced > Program Options and set the new path locations for the data.
